Nathan completed his Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling and additional course work in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Phoenix. He has been working in the Mental Health field since 1994 and has had the privilege to be at ScenicView since 2002. Nathan has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, specialty clinics, residential treatment, school settings, nonprofits, private practice, with youth and adults. He has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing(EMDR) as well as other techniques. Nathan has had specialized training in treating problems from Anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, Depression, Integrative Mental Health Nutrition among other things. He loves to research and find things that help other's lives to become better.
On a personal note, Nathan has children with disabilities and relates to the difficulties and joys that come with raising them. His understanding of the demands on parents and child are helpful in healing and growing together. The quote above is a reflection of his desire to help others.
