Alva has over 20 years experience working with individuals with disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She worked with children and adults in group homes as well as site and community based programs. Alva also provided respite care for parents and care providers, currently she is a host parent for an individual with learning differences. She obtained her National Certificate of Achievement in Employment Services (ACRE), as a Job Coach she helped individuals learn and accurately carry out their job duties. Alva is passionate about helping others achieve their goals no matter how hard or long it takes. Because of her love for helping others she chose to work at ScenicView Academy. During her free time she volunteers at Slate Canyon Youth Center and in the Children's Ministry at her church. Alva is originally from Southern California, when the weather is appropriate she enjoys road trips with her family, playing dominoes with her father, and barbecues with family and friends.
